CHAPTER 02.07: VECTORS: What is a null (or zero) vector? In this segment we’ll talk about what is a null
vector, which is the same as calling it a zero vector. A null, or zero,
vector is a vector with all zeroes, null components being zero. So, an
example can be someone says “Hey, is this a null vector or zero vector?” I’ll put 0, 0, 0, 0
here. It’s a four dimensional vector, all its four components are zero. So, I
will call this to be a null vector or a zero vector or I can have another
example can be like this: 0, 0, 0 for example. It’s
a row vector, which is has components that are zero, so that’s also a zero
vector. And that’s the end of this segment. |
